Q. Configuration of your GSM Kit

A. Windows Users

If you cannot call with your GSM phone, it means the GSM KIT is not correctly set up.In this case, go on as follows:

1) Download the SETGSM program (GSM21_ENG.exe)
2) Connect only the Palladio USB GSM to the PC port; don't connect the cable to the GSM phone.
3) After a few seconds the terminal LED will lighten and Windows will detect the device.
4) Decompress and run SETGSM program.
5) SETGSM will search for Palladio USB GSM and test the current GSM driver, that is NEC G9D+ DB2000/DB500.
6) Select in the New Driver windows the one for your Kit (i.e.Nokia 61xx/51xx).
7) Then confirm by selecting Configure.
8) SETGSM will confirm the new driver setup.
9) Exit from SETGSM and disconnect Palladio USB GSM from your computer.
10) Now connect again PALLADIO USB GSM to the computer, this time connect also the cable and the phone.
11) After the terminal LED is turned on, you will be able to activate the Remote Access.

Palladio USB GSM is now correctly setup for your GSM KIT.
The setup is kept in a non-volatile memory so it won't be necessary to execute this procedure again.

Macintosh Users

If you cannot call with your GSM phone, it means the GSM KIT is not correctly set up.
To solve this problem you have two different possibilities. Choose the most convenient for you.

A) Download the MTools2-ENG.sit program and then:

1) Connect only the Palladio USB GSM to the MAC USB port; don't connect the cable to the GSM phone.
2) After a few seconds the terminal LED will lighten and the computer will detect the device.
3) Run the Digicom MTools.
4) Click on Port & Modem List and wait for the modem detection.
5) Select on the right the USB modem port for Palladio.
6) Click on GSM Settings.
7) On the right it will appear: Current Phone: NEC G9D+ DB2000/DB500.
8) In the window Available Phones select Nokia 6150 and click on Apply.
9) Wait that the field Current Phone is correctly updated.
10) Close the Digicom MTools program.
11) Connect the GSM connection cable to Palladio USB GSM and to the GSM phone.
12) Connect again Palladio USB to the computer.
13) After the terminal LED is turned on, try again the connection through Remote Access.
14) Check on the telephone display that the call is in progress.


B) Simulate a call through Remote Access as follows:

1)Connect only the Palladio USB GSM to the MAC USB port; don't connect the cable to the GSM phone.
2) After a few seconds the terminal LED will lighten and the computer will detect the device.
3) Setup a Remote Access connection as explained in the Quick Guide.
4) Click on Connect and wait Remote Access signals the error for failed connection or modem communication error.
5) Disconnect Palladio USB from the computer.
6) Connect the GSM connection cable to Palladio USB GSM and to the GSM phone.
7) Connect again Palladio USB to the computer.
8) After the terminal LED is turned on, try again the connection through Remote Access.
9) Check on the telephone display that the call is in progress.

Palladio USB GSM is now correctly setup for your GSM KIT.
The setup is kept in a non-volatile memory so it won't be necessary to execute this procedure again.
